Getting started with the project. I originally wanted to make something bigger, but since this is my first attempt in building a scale house, I decided to keep it fairly small and rectangle to keep things simple. These miniature logs are long round dowels, and I am also going to use popsicle sticks for the floor, roof, door, and windows. Both dowels and popsicle sticks are bought from Wal-Mart. But I'm pretty sure you can find these anywhere.
Tools that I am using are a round file, good knife like mora, and dremel tool. To keep things together in one piece I decided to use super glue.
Logs are filed with the round file to create the notch.
Miniature logs cut in various lengths. Notice the black ends of some logs, it is because of cutting it with a dremel tool. When the rotating saw cut the wood, it burned it.
Base of the cabin finished.
Adding some support for the flooring.
More support for the flooring after I realized that two won't be enough.
Floor is coming together.
End of Day 1. Up to this point, it took me around 2 hours.
